Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reveal that Liverpool and Arsenal are facing competition from “many clubs” for Wolves star Pedro Neto

Wolves star Pedro Neto is attracting interest from several top clubs alongside Liverpool and Arsenal, according to Fabrizio Romano. Neto has played a pivotal role for Wolves, single-handedly changing the game for the club at times.

The 23-year-old is immensely versatile, capable of playing at any attacking position on both flanks and centrally. If tactically required, he can also function as the main attacker for the team.

Standing at 1.72 metres, Neto uses his stature to maintain balance and close control in close quarters. He has the deceptive strength to hold his own against any defender and keep possession of the ball under pressure.

The Portugal international uses his explosive pace and dribbling skills to make long progressive runs and beat opposition defenders. He exhibits drive and hard work, consistently offering an outlet and demonstrating a strong mentality even in adverse situations.

The 23-year-old has made 18 appearances in all competitions so far, contributing three goals and 10 assists this season. Injury issues have been his only big concern since joining the Wolves, sidelining him for months on numerous occasions.

Speaking on his exclusive Daily Briefing for CaughtOffside, Romano addressed the future of Neto which involves both Arsenal and Liverpool. He said:

“I’m only sure that Wolves’ Pedro Neto will be on the list of many clubs this June, not just Arsenal and Liverpool. The fee for him is not clear so far as Wolves are refusing to indicate a price. That will be discussed closer to the summer transfer window. Also, no one is leading the race as things stand, and that will become concrete and clearer around May/June.”   

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has built a diverse squad with many youngsters getting opportunities to prove themselves. The attacking department has immense depth and fluidity that has helped them succeed a lot this season.

However, Klopp’s announcement that he is departing at the end of the season has raised many questions about the future. Nevertheless, the squad has the cohesiveness, fluidity and versatility to play in different tactics, regardless of what his successor prefers.
