Insane stat shows how dominant Liverpool have been this season in front of goal

Jurgen Klopp’s men were in fine form tonight as Liverpool took on Luton Town. Following their first-half scare the team pulled together a stellar performance during the second half. It was Virgil van Dijk who bought them back from 1-0 to 1-1, and then Cody Gakpo scored a beautiful header to make it 2-1. Finally, it was Luis Diaz and Harvey Elliot who brushed the game away around the closing minutes.

With these three points, Liverpool have now solidified their spot on top of the premier league. Manchester City were close behind but the Reds are now sitting four points clear of Guardiola’s men. Moreover, at this point of the season, Jurgen Klopp’s men are also playing like it is the last game of the season.

With Jurgen Klopp set to leave Anfield is rallying to give him his final dance. Following their performance, an insane stat has been making the rounds on X, that shows that ‘Liverpool are the first club in Europe’s big-five leagues to have five players reach 10+ goals in all competitions this season.’

Mo Salah’s 19 goals, Diogo Jota’s 14 goals, Darwin Nunez’s 13 goals, Cody Gakpo’s 11 goals and Luis Diaz’s 10 goals, are the reason that Liverpool are in a strong position to run away with the league this season.

However, their Carabao Cup might not go according to plan as Both Jota and Salah are likely going to be out due to injuries. Hopefully, they won’t lose out on the final against Chelsea this Sunday because of these losses to their offensive line.
