Wolverhampton Wanderers reportedly reveal the price tag for Pedro Neto as Liverpool battle Arsenal and other clubs for his services

Liverpool have to pay around £80m to sign Wolverhampton Wanderers star Pedro Neto, amid interest from Arsenal and other clubs. Neto has been a pivotal part of Wolves’ setup this season, single-handedly changing games in their favour at times.

Standing at 1.72 metres, the Portuguese international uses close control, trickeries and pace to beat defenders and make direct runs. His direct style of play combined with his ability to create chances and technical abilities makes him a constant threat.

Neto creates a psychological edge even if the opposition is dominating the phase, making it hard for to opposition to relax. The 23-year-old’s versatility gives him another advantage as he is capable of playing at any attacking position for his team.

Neto is threatening from both flanks and capable of playing behind the lead striker or as a lead striker himself. The Portugal international has made 19 appearances in all competitions this season, contributing with three goals and 11 assists.

The only weakness for Neto is his injury record, facing the sideline for numerous months on three separate occasions at Wolves. Despite his fantastic start to the current season, he missed nine games due to a hamstring injury.

Metro reports that Wolves have set a price tag of around £80m for Pedro Neto, with Liverpool and Arsenal expressing interest in the dynamic forward. Additionally, Manchester City and Newcastle United are also keen on securing the signature of the 23-year-old.

The Reds manager Jurgen Klopp has confirmed that he is stepping back as manager after the current season ends. Additionally, Liverpool needs a new sporting director to replace Jorg Schmadtke who left the club in January. Any transfer deal will occur after confirming Klopp’s successor and the new sporting director.
