Liverpool predicted lineup against Chelsea for the Carabao Cup final

Predicted Liverpool XI vs Chelsea for the Carabao Cup final

Jurgen Klopp will end his career at Liverpool this summer and this is his first chance to win silverware this season. The Reds from Merseyside are scheduled to face Chelsea on Sunday in Carabao Cup finals at the Wembley Stadium.

The Reds hailing out of Anfield Stadium are facing injury concerns. Trent Alexander Arnold, Allison and Dominik Szoboszlai face a late fitness test to make it to the fixture against Chelsea on Sunday.

Jurgen Klopp will have a major dilemma in selecting his starting lineup for the League Cup final against Chelsea owing to injury concerns.

Liverpool predicted lineup against Chelsea for League Cup finals:

Caoimhin Kelleher

With Allison out with a hamstring injury Caoimhin Kelleher will start in goal for Liverpool in the cup finals. Kelleher has been impressive for the reds when he has started and will be hoping to continue his position in front of goal this Sunday.

Conor Bradley

The 20-year-old Liverpool academy star has been a revelation in his breakthrough season. He has not let Trent Alexander Arnold’s absence felt. He has been good with his recovery defensively as well as his offensive attributes.

Ibrahima Konaté

With the rest in mid-week, the French defender should be starting in the heart of defence for Liverpool. He fills in the right defensive positions when Bradley is involved offensively. Going against Raheem Sterling and complementing Bradley to cover for any Sterling runs will be very important for Jurgen Klopp’s men.

Virgil van Dijk

Possibly the first name on Liverpool’s team sheet. Virgil has again proven why he is arguably the best centre-back in the Premier League. Van Dijk can prove important not only defensively but also from dead-ball situations.

Andrew Robertson

The Scot has had his injury concerns this season. He has been out on the sidelines for a long period of time. Andrew Robertson is not looking his best but a league final should be enough motivation for him to run down the left wing like he had under Klopp for years.

Alexis Mac Allister

The 25-year-old was doubted by many in a deep midfielder role. Alexis has not only proved the critics wrong but he has been impressive with his recovery runs in the middle of the park. He should play number 6 in Liverpool’s three-man midfield.

Wataru Endo

Despite his small height, the 31-year-old is one of the aerially dominant players in the squad. He knows how to run the web of passes from the midfield and comes back between the centre-backs in the build-ups to give full-backs more offensive license.

Ryan Gravenberch

Gravenberch has been struggling to find his feet at Liverpool in that number 8 role. The Dutch midfielder is yet to score a Premier League goal for the club. What better way to find your confidence back than in the cup final? Ryan Gravenberch with his dribbles and physical dominance can help to break down Chelsea’s midfield.

Luis Diaz

The Colombian winger has scored 10 goals this season. He is always constantly running at his full-back. Luis Diaz likes to dribble inside and this may prove difficult to defend for Malo Gusto.

Darwin Nunez

He is injured and he did not play against Luton Town in the midweek but there is a sense that it was precautionary with an eye for the finals. There is a late fitness test for him and if he comes through it, Nunez may end up starting at Wembley.

Mohamed Salah

Salah has injury concerns of his own. He came from injury last weekend with a goal and an assist against Brentford. Though he couldn’t feature against Luton in the midweek as well he should be fine for the finals.
