The Reds are also second in the Premier League table, behind the league leaders Arsenal on goal difference only. Despite suffering from several obstacles, Liverpool continued to challenge for every trophy as the academy players played a key role.

Speaking on a group interview with Liverpool FC (h/t YouTube), Koumas pointed out how “heartbreaking” Klopp’s departure would be for everyone. He said:

“I just hope we do it all for the boss really. It’s going to be heartbreaking when he goes. I hope we can get a few more trophies for him. He’s unbelievable. He’s one of the best managers in the world and it’s just great to learn from him and show what I can do.”

Klopp has built a culture at the club that provides opportunities to academy players while continuously challenging for trophies. Liverpool competes with many high-spending rivals but they continue to hold their ground with shrewd business and faith in youngsters

Klopp has provided opportunities to Jarell Quansah, Conor Bradley, Ben Doak, Koumas, Jayden Danns, Bobby Clark, and James McConnell. He has also given chances to Luke Chambers, Kaide Gordon Calum Scanlon, Owen Beck and Trey Nyoni.
