The star humiliates Sparta Prague in the second leg

Sparta Prague gifted Salah the ball near the goal line due to an obvious mistake, and the clinical attacker didn’t disappoint with his finish. This bodes well ahead of our FA Cup clash against Manchester United at Old Trafford this weekend.

The Egyptian has not really featured in 90 minutes for Liverpool in 2024. Speaking ahead of the game, Klopp told reporters on Friday:

“It’s important that we build up Mo, obviously super-important, but in this game changing at half-time was not necessary or possible because we have to deal with changes carefully. So, yeah, he is ready.”

“He is top fit, everything is good now and we don’t have to deal with these kind of things anymore. I’m not sure if he is ready for 90 minutes and I’m not sure we should do 90 minutes, but he’s ready to start so that’s how it is.”

Salah did not disappoint Klopp’s judgement, as he proved himself in the game against Sparta Prague, his form looking top-class. After Salah’s goal, Liverpool’s relentless assault on the Sparta Prague goal continued, finishing the game with an aggregate scoreline of 11-2.

The Reds destroyed Sparta Prague

Despite our injuries, Klopp has overseen a siege mentality that trickles down to the club’s youth stars. With a quadruple still on the cards, it is imperative that we welcome back our top players ahead of the games to come. The international break could not have come at a better time and we hope several more players return alongside Salah to end this season on a high.

Beating records that were once held by the likes of the legendary Ian Rush outlines Salah’s standing in the pantheon of Anfield greats. With much to play for, we will not be surprised if he continues to score for fun for the remainder of the season.
