Liverpool among four PL clubs in the fray for dynamic Brazilian attacker

Liverpool are among the four top Premier League clubs that are ready to battle for Real Madrid star Rodrygo

Real Madrid star Rodrygo has attracted interest from four Premier League clubs including Liverpool, leading to a potential transfer battle. Manchester City, Arsenal, and Manchester United are showing interest in signing the Brazilian forward, alongside Liverpool.

The 23-year-old is an integral part of Los Blancos squad, capable of playing in numerous attacking positions with his versatility. He has dominantly played as a centre-forward and a right winger this season but he uses fluidity to interchange positions.

The Brazil international stands at 1.74 metres but possesses good physical strength to stay on his feet while having duels. He uses the low centre of gravity to maintain his balance in high-pressure situations even in congested spaces.

Rodrygo is very skilful and possesses the fantastic dribbling ability to beat multiple opponents and progress forward with the ball. He has the technical ability to provide accurate passes and earn assists while also being a goalscoring threat himself.

The 23-year-old is very hardworking off the ball, always ready to help his teammates on and off the ball. Rodrygo has made 42 appearances in all competitions for Real, scoring 15 goals and providing eight assists this season.

Fichajes reported that Man United, Man City, Arsenal and Liverpool want Rodrygo during the upcoming summer transfer window. The report also suggests that Los Blancos value Rodrygo at around 100 million euros, a massive valuation for forward.

The severe injury crisis this season has troubled Liverpool despite their stacked attack department. Despite his immense ability, Diogo Jota has an unreliable injury record that has worried both fans and Liverpool’s close associates.

Furthermore, legendary forward Mohamed Salah has changed his style of play due to ageing, providing less counter-attacking threat. The Reds could consider a forward addition to rectify that and have another direct pacy threat in their squad.

Nevertheless, Rodrygo is not a necessity at the club right now despite his immense talent. Liverpool does not spend big on players who are not necessary to the squad as they prefer developing young players instead.
