Gabriel Agbonlahor talks about the Jurgen Klopp Mohamed Salah feud
At this point, the entire Liverpool fanbase and the broader football community knows what happened between Jurgen Klopp and Mohamed Salah ahead of the winger coming on in against West Ham United. There’s absolutely no need to go over that again. However, recently, former Aston Villa man Gabby Agbonlahor had a few words to say about the same.
Here is what he told talkSPORT via ECHO:
“It think it’s been coming from Salah. Salah’s not a sub. You can put Salah on the bench if you are rotating. But Salah has scored 210 goals and has 86 assists for Liverpool.”
“A game against West Ham is tough, you don’t give him 12 minutes. That’s what he was probably saying on the sideline. ’12 minutes, come on, I’m Salah, you wouldn’t have a trophy without me, Jurgen’. They wouldn’t have won any trophies without Salah. He’s been unbelievable for that football club. Where’s the respect?”
Agbonlahor might have had his days on the pitch, but his recent remarks about Klopp and Salah are just a load of bollocks.
Is it a very big deal in the first place?
First off, let’s talk about Salah. The man’s a legend at Liverpool, plain and simple. He’s scored over 200 goals, racked up more than 80 assists, and played a massive role in bringing trophies to Anfield. So, when Klopp decides to bench him for a couple of games, it’s only natural that Salah might feel a bit miffed. And rightly so!
But here’s where Agbonlahor’s comments start to unravel. He reckons Salah deserves more respect from Klopp. Respect is important, but let’s not forget that Klopp’s the gaffer here. He calls the shots, plain and simple. And if he thinks benching Salah for a bit is what’s best for the team, then who are we to argue?
Salah’s had a bit of a dry spell lately. Sure, he’s still their top scorer this season, but one goal in six matches? That’s not exactly firing on all cylinders, is it? So, maybe Klopp’s decision to bench him for a bit was the kick up the backside Salah needed to get back to his best.
And as for Agbonlahor’s prediction about Salah leaving Liverpool? Well, let’s just say it’s a bit premature. Salah’s got over a year left on his contract, and there’s no indication that he’s looking to jump ship anytime soon. So, maybe Agbonlahor should stick to what he knows best – whatever that may be – and leave the speculation to the experts.

In the end, folks, let’s not get too caught up in Agbonlahor’s comments. That “man” has a history of spewing crap when it comes to Liverpool so it is best to ignore him. Klopp and Salah are both integral parts of Liverpool and a little spat on the touchline isn’t going to change that.
