Pep Lijnders wants Liverpool youngster Conor Bradley to join him

This summer, Its not only Jurgen Klopp who is departing the club but Pep Lijnders is also leaving Liverpool behind along with the beloved boss. Recent sources claim that Lijnders wants Conor Bradley to accompany him.

The Dutchman’s next move after Liverpool has already been confirmed, as he won’t be sticking around to join Arne Slot’s new squad. This summer, Lijnders will take over as Red Bull Salzburg’s next manager. He will take over in Austria.

Liverpool will undoubtedly closely monitor his European development. Salzburg would now be a good place for players to go out on loan, as Liverpool will be aware of the type of football any young players will be playing.

Lijnders would seem to be highly keen on that notion. In fact, the former coach of Liverpool actually has plans to permanently remove one of the team’s young stars, wanting him to join his new club.

When Lijnders discussed Conor Bradley’s work with the Reds’ youth, he was all praise while speaking with the Redmen TV (h/t Metro). Despite his best efforts, he acknowledges that he has little hope of wresting the Northern Ireland international away from his former club.

“I believed really in Conor Bradley, and Jarell and Caoimhin Kelleher, and Harvey Elliott, and Curtis. But Conor, what is he doing here? Conor Bradley? What did he do?”

“We have a new right defender, you don’t need to buy anyone. He can come to Salzburg immediately by the way. I have [my eye on] a lot — but I don’t have the money.”

Bradley certainly did attract his former coach

It does not matter how much Pep tries but letting a player like Bradley go does not make sense so there is hardly a chance that Liverpool would agree to it.

This season, the 20-year-old has really stood out already, having made four G/A contributions for the Reds in the Premier League from his 11 appearances at the beginning of his tenure.

But looking forward, Lijnders and Salzburg will be an excellent choice for Liverpool’s youth players to get some first-team experience. But it seems highly unlikely that Liverpool would let a rising star like Conor Bradley go already.
