According to reports from Spanish publication Fichajes, the Reds’ upcoming head coach, Arne Slot, is eyeing an European star, Ederson, from Atalanta to shape the dimension of Liverpool while starting a new era next season.
As if being one of the season’s biggest surprises weren’t enough, Ederson gained notoriety a few days ago when he and Atalanta won the Europa League final, in which he played a crucial role in the midfield.
The sensational midfielder have been a key part of Atalanta’s achievements this season standing up for his club with 35 appearances in Serie A with a seven G/A contribution.
Given that there are other elite suitors keen on signing him, the Bergamo club is aware that it will be challenging to keep this talent in its ranks this season. Because clubs that have lately shown interest include FC Barcelona and Atletico de Madrid, among others.
An era of huge change is approaching Liverpool, with the new manager coming in and drastic changes in the squad as well as the staff. The Reds would certainly want players of the talent like Ederson to fill their squad who can fight for titles at big stages next season.

Ederson is an expert at analysing the situation and making interceptions to neutralise the opposition’s growing threats. In addition to his physical strength, he excels at winning aerial duels and tackles. It goes without saying that he would thrive in the competitive English league.
Thiago Alcantara may depart the team at the end of current season, therefore the Reds will need to get a new player. Atalanta is always a selling club, and so should Liverpool come knocking with a respectable offer, Ederson could be in a red shirt next season.
