The Reds could reignite interest in former target who might be headed to the Premier League this summer
As reported by Sky Sports, Fulham are interested in signing former Liverpool target, Andre Trindade this summer. The 22-year-old has been strongly linked to the Reds in the past but surprisingly he’s still biding his time with Fluminense.
However, this could finally be the summer that it all changes for Andre. Fulham are at risk of losing Joao Palhinha this summer. The Portuguese midfielder has been attracting a lot of interest from Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich.
If the Cottagers end up losing Palhinha, they will look to bring in Andre Trindade as a replacement for him. Andre excels while playing as a defensive midfielder and signing him will go a long way towards helping the team plug the holes at the back.
This also presents an opportunity for Liverpool. Trindade has excellent distribution and could produce exciting results playing under Arne Slot. Moreover, he’s only 22 so the sky is the limit for the Brazilian midfielder.
If he’s ready to come to the Premier League, the Reds can swoop in and try to convince him to prepare for Anfield. The team needs more depth in their middle line to make up for the loss of Thiago Alcantara and Andre would be the perfect man for the job.
Transfermarkt rates the player at €25m so the Reds won’t even have to break the bank to sign him. Everything makes it seem like Trindade would be the perfect pickup for the team.
