Liverpool superstar is focused on international glory instead of a summer exit from Anfield
Liverpool superstar, Luis Diaz has been the subject of a lot of talk this past week. If talk is to be believed then Diaz has been attracting a lot of interest from a number of clubs, most prominently from FC Barcelona in Spain.
It is being said that the Catalan side’s sporting director of the player has identified the Colombian winger along with Spanish talent, Nico Williams to reinforce their attacking line this summer. However, Diaz has put all the speculation to an end.
While speaking to Spanish outlet Nacional, Diaz made it absolutely clear that he currently only has his mind set on achieving International glory with Colombia. Let’s take a look at what he had to say about the future as him and his team get ready to claim the Copa America.
“I’m very happy there at Liverpool, it’s a great team and club, I’ve always wanted to play there, so I’m very happy and relaxed”.
“I’m not thinking about anything else”.
Diaz added that he is thinking about the Colombian team and nothing else at this point in time. This basically confirms that the 27-year-old currently doesn’t have a move on his mind and even if he does, it will have to wait till the Copa America wraps up.
Diaz’s words give the idea that he is confident about his team’s chances in the Copa America this year. He says that he and his team will be fighting to give victories to their fans. Hopefully, the Colombian has a show prepared for the people.
Diaz’s performances during Liverpool this past season were a bit disappointing for his standards. The 27-year-old made 51 appearances recording just 13 goals and five assists
