Liverpool have gained a significant boost in their pursuit of a Championship forward
As reported by Liverpool Echo, Championship side Leeds United have begun to accept that they might have to let go of Liverpool target, Crysencio Summerville during the upcoming window. The 22-year-old has been stellar for Leeds.
However, the Championship side needs to make a big money move to comply with FFP regulations. Unfortunately, Summerville could end up being the victim of the club’s need for money. But the player won’t be too sad about the situation since he could soon be moving to the Premier League.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Brighton have already begin talks over a deal for the 22-year-old. However, it won’t be easy since a lot of clubs are lining up to bring Summerville over to their side during the upcoming transfer window.
Liverpool and Chelsea are also interested in signing the forward. Last season, Crysencio was on fire for Leeds United. He made 49 appearances for the team with a majority of them being on the left wing. He proved to be an absolute threat down the left flank.
Over the course of the season, Summerville recorded a total of 21 goals and 10 assists. If Liverpool could add another forward to their lineup who can produce like the 22-year-old, they’d be a force to be reckoned with on any night of the week.
But, as we said above, signing Crysencio will not be easy. Brighton’s approach for the player should clear up what kind of money Leeds United are looking for.
