Juventus warned over allowing Federico Chiesa to exit to Liverpool
Juventus legend Alessio Tacchinardi has advised the club to reconsider before letting Federico Chiesa depart for Liverpool. The winger has been rumoured to be considering a move to Anfield, with reports suggesting that the attacker, who has one year remaining on his contract, is keen on a summer transfer. However, Tacchinardi has cautioned Juventus against allowing Chiesa to leave. In an interview with TuttoMercatoWeb, he stated:
“If Juve sell Chiesa, for me they are making a mistake. Yes, he has breaks on the pitch, but he has a terrifying engine on an explosive level, in one-on-one he is unique and you have to give him freedom of action. At Juve, they never saw the real Chiesa. Chiesa has always felt misunderstood, but he has enormous potential that is still unexpressed. And, for me, when you have a strong player in the team, you keep him.”

Liverpool are eyeing Juventus forward Federico Chiesa as a possible successor to Mohamed Salah, should the Egyptian star opt to depart Anfield. According to Liverpool Echo, Liverpool have identified Chiesa as a “potential replacement” for Salah, who was previously linked with a move to the Saudi Pro League last summer. The Reds have contingency plans in place in case Salah decides to leave.
Chiesa, 26, contributed 10 goals and three assists in 37 appearances for Juventus in the previous season, showcasing his attacking prowess and versatility.
Liverpool should prioritize signing Federico Chiesa due to his exceptional skill set and versatility in attack. At 26 years old, Chiesa has amassed valuable experience in Serie A and European competitions, proving himself as a consistent performer with both Fiorentina and Juventus.
His ability to play across the forward line as a winger or forward adds significant tactical flexibility to Liverpool’s squad. Chiesa combines speed, technical ability, and a knack for scoring crucial goals, qualities that align perfectly with Liverpool’s high-tempo, pressing style of play under Jurgen Klopp.
