Liverpool star Andrew Robertson was a standout performer for Scotland vs Switzerland at Euro 2024

Liverpool star, Andrew Robertson was everywhere during his country’s game against Switzerland at the EUROs. It was a tough season for the Scottish defender who missed a total of 23 games last season on account of two separate injuries. However, Robertson looked back to his best against Switzerland.

The Scottish skipper donned the role of the attacking left-back on the night in Sotland’s 3-4-1-2 formation and was a constant menace down his flank. He bombed up the wing all night and was also solid when it came to defending space behind him when needed.

While Robertson didn’t make it onto the score sheet, his performance was crucial in keeping Switzerland at bay. The 30-year-old was a powerhouse on the left flank, covering extensive ground and maintaining an impressive passing accuracy of 80%. Without his stellar showing, Switzerland might have easily run away with the game. His overall numbers on the night (via X) make for stellar reading.

Robertson also contributed significantly with three key passes and created a crucial scoring opportunity for his team. Despite his recent struggles with injuries, the 30-year-old demonstrated his ability to perform at a high level against Switzerland.

His performance serves as a timely reminder of his quality. Although Scotland haven’t had the ideal start to this year’s Euros, there are still many matches to be played, and in international football, anything can happen.

If the 30-year-old can maintain his form, Scotland could potentially make a strong push in the tournament. There’s hope that the 30-year-old can continue to deliver and help his team make a notable impact in the Euros.
