Liverpool boss Arne Slot is keen on Arda Guler if made available on loan by Real Madrid
According to Brazilian outlet UOL (h/t TEAMtalk), Liverpool have been tipped to sign Real Madrid sensation Arda Guler this summer.
Arda Guler, 19, has been making waves at the 2024 European Champions in Germany. The creative midfielder announced himself on the international stage earlier this week, producing a missile to help Turkey beat Georgia 3-1 in their group-stage opener.
This is in contrast to the kind of debut season he has endured at Real Madrid, spending a lot of time on the sidelines due to a combination of meniscus damage and muscle issues.
When Arda Guler recovered fully from his injury, he had to bide his time to feature for Real Madrid. Eventually, the Turkish talent only managed 10 La Liga appearances in which he made a telling impression by scoring six goals at the back end of the campaign.
There is every chance the teenager could find himself further on the periphery at Santiago Bernabeu next season, following the blockbuster signing of Kylian Mbappe from Paris Saint-Germain. Indeed, after a long-running saga, Real Madrid will formally announce the arrival of Mbappe on July 1, after the France superstar agreed a move to the Spanish capital on a free transfer from PSG.
In addition, Los Blancos would also welcome Brazilian wonderkid Endrick at the start of July, after it was announced in December that the transfer would be ratified in the summer when the Palmeiras winger turns 18.
Due to a surplus of attacking reinforcements, UOL (h/t TEAMtalk) reports Real are open to loaning out Guler this summer. La Liga side Real Sociedad appear to be the most likely destination, although Liverpool have been tipped to be in the mix too with new Liverpool boss Arne Slot keen on signing the Turkey international if made available for loan.

Arne Slot is yet to make a signing since succeeding Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool but could well win over the Kop universally by signing a sublime talent in Guler, who has caught the eye at the 2024 Euros in Germany.
That said, Liverpool must do their best to beat Real Sociedad to Guler’s signature if he is made available for a loan by Real. While he has the talent to compete for a spot in Carlo Ancelotti’s first XI, a loan to the Reds, where the Turkish playmaker could potentially thrive under Slot, could fast-track his development.
