Liverpool face off against Manchester United in their race to sign Ricardo Calafiori

Calafiori won’t be an easy transfer for the Reds
As things stand, a summer transfer for Calafiori might also be a good deal for the Reds, as Bologna are asking for only €40 million (£34 million) for their central defender. Given his age and potential, the price could prove to be a bargain in the long run.

The 22-year-old is a key member of Italy’s hybrid defensive line, switching between a back four and a back three when the ball is in possession. Calafiori, who plays on the left of the back three, is known for his strong runs that create space for the ball to travel.
