Eberechi Eze could be the next star to leave Crystal Palace amid links with Liverpool
According to a report from GIVEMESPORT, Crystal Palace are concerned that Liverpool-linked playmaker Eberechi Eze will ask to leave the club this summer following Michael Olise’s expected transfer to Bayern Munich.
After spending three seasons at Selhurst Park, Michael Olise has decided it is the right time to embark on a new challenge and has chosen to join Bayern Munich over Premier League clubs. Crystal Palace have no interest in letting go of the French winger, especially after he signed a new long-term contract last summer, but he has a release clause of around £60m which Bayern Munich are willing to trigger.
Key Crystal Palace officials now fear that Eberechi Eze will look to follow Olise’s footsteps out of the club but they remain hopeful that interested clubs would opt against tabling a sizeable bid.
The England midfielder, 25, has proven himself in the Premier League with the Eagles. He netted 11 goals and provided a further six assists in 31 appearances during the 2023/24 season, resulting in Palace ending the campaign on a high note. He was a part of Oliver Glasner’s Palace side that beat Liverpool at Anfield and Manchester United at Selhurst Park.
On the verge of losing Olise to Bayern, it is obvious that Palace manager Oliver Glasner and chairman Steve Parish would try their best to keep hold of Eze at least for another season. However, they are bracing themselves for approaches for the creative midfielder, who is also the subject of interest from Tottenham and Arsenal.
The Eagles don’t want to sell two of their valuable assets in the same window in a bid to avoid Oliver Glasner having to supervise a sizeable summer rebuild at Selhurst Park. However, with Olise choosing Bayern as his next destination, Eze may also look to compete at a higher level now. The 25-year-old, who is currently with the England squad at the 2024 European Championships in Germany, will want to join a club capable of challenging for major trophies.
Liverpool, under Arne Slot, are preparing for an ambitious project after Jurgen Klopp’s nine years at Anfield. They are looking to make quality signings over the summer to help Arne Slot build an exciting squad for the 2024/25 season and beyond.

Thus, the Reds could be an attractive destination for Eze. The Palace star has the qualities to thrive in Slot’s high-octane, attacking system and entertain the Kop. He would be a sensational addition to the Liverpool attacking ranks whilst being a long-term replacement for Luis Diaz, who is heavily linked with a move to Barcelona.
As the club continues to work behind the scenes to recruit quality players this summer, it will be interesting to see if we follow up our interest with an official offer for Eze.
