Real Madrid star Rodrygo advised to join Liverpool during the summer window instead of pointlessly fighting for the starting place

Liverpool want Real Madrid star Rodrygo as he faces the daunting task of competing with numerous attacking options next season. Real signed Kylian Mbappe and Endrick as the new attacking options for the next season, putting immense pressure on Rodrygo.

The Brazil international enjoyed a great season with Real, helping them win the La Liga and the Champions League competitions. However, the star power at the club currently puts his place in serious threat with a transfer move looking inevitable.

The 23-year-old’s calibre to play at any position in the attack combined with his high productivity is a major asset. Rodrygo is a brilliant operator in the spaces between the opposition midfield and defence, using his tricks and close control.

Real Madrid star Rodrygo is a Liverpool target but his willingness to move and wages act as a big barrier.

He uses his upper body strength and agility to manoeuvre through the congested spaces and progress forward with the ball. Off the ball, the Brazilian is hard-working and applies high pressing from the frontline and works relentlessly for his teammates.

The Brazil international made 51 appearances in all competitions for Real, contributing with 17 goals and nine assists last season. According to Spanish outlet Sport (via Liverpool Echo), Rodrygo received advice to join Manchester City or Liverpool during the summer.

The Brazilian is currently representing his nation in the Copa America competition where his team is struggling with form. Rodrygo has Jude Bellingham, Mbappe, Vinicius Junior and Endrick as the four forward competitors who are certain to start regularly.

Furthermore, Arda Guler has made his claim for a more regular role while Brahim Diaz acts as a strong option. If Rodrygo stays, he will be playing as a rotational player which is beneath someone who has contributed so much already.
