Liverpool are eyeing a double raid for Wolves duo Rayan Ait-Nouri and Pedro Neto
Liverpool are setting their sights on a double swoop for Wolverhampton Wanderers stars Pedro Neto and Rayan Ait-Nouri. As new manager Arne Slot prepares for his first season at the helm, GIVEMESPORT report in an exclusive that the Reds are keen to bolster their squad with the promising duo.
Slot, who has transitioned into the Liverpool hot seat following Jurgen Klopp’s departure, is eager to make significant additions to the squad before the August 30 transfer deadline. Alongside new sporting director Richard Hughes, the duo is actively scouring the market for opportunities.
Liverpool have initiated discussions with Pedro Neto’s representatives and Wolves about a potential summer transfer. Despite having three years left on his £50,000-per-week contract, Neto is open to a new challenge, increasing the likelihood of a move to Anfield. The Portuguese winger has amassed 31 goal contributions in 111 Premier League appearances, making him an attractive option for the Reds as Mohamed Salah’s successor.
Neto’s agent, Jorge Mendes, is expected to push for a transfer, with Liverpool facing competition from Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur, and Newcastle United. Wolves have placed a £60 million price tag on the 24-year-old, reflecting his value and Premier League experience. If Liverpool secure Neto, he would become Slot’s first major signing, adding to an already stacked frontline.
In addition to Neto, Liverpool are also eyeing Wolves’ left-back Rayan Ait-Nouri. With suggestions of a £38 million release clause in his contract, the left-back could be an attainable target for the Merseyside club. The Algerian international’s potential move would address Liverpool’s need for defensive reinforcements, especially considering the injuries that plagued their left-back position last season. With Kostas Tsimikas far from a reliable first-choice option and given Andy Robertson’s decline, future-proofing the position should be a priority sooner rather than later.
However, Liverpool may face competition from Manchester United, as Erik ten Hag is also interested in the 23-year-old. The Red Devils experienced lengthy spells without a recognized left-back due to injuries to Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia, making Ait-Nouri an appealing prospect for them as well. Surely, we won’t let them do another Leny Yoro over us.
While the deal is not cheap, Liverpool have the reserves to make the £98m double deal happen. The Reds are clear of PSR and their financial pragmatism leaves them in a good position to make the move for the right player, irrespective of the price. Time will tell whether Neto and Ait-Nouri fit that condition.

Securing Neto would provide a versatile and experienced attacking option, crucial for maintaining a competitive edge in the Premier League and European competitions. Meanwhile, adding Ait-Nouri would strengthen the defensive line, offering reliability and cover for potential injuries. More so, both players have ample Premier League experience and are young enough to play a role for us for years to come.
One concern, however, is regarding Neto’s fitness. The Portuguese star has missed 102 games across all competitions over the last four seasons for Wolves. Whether it will impact our interest in landing the player, especially at Wolves’ terms remains to be seen.
