After a flying start under their new coach, the esteemed Jurgen Klopp successor Arne Slot, Liverpool have won all three of their opening Premier League games. They currently sit second in the table, just behind Manchester City.

Manchester United icon Teddy Sheringham has applauded Liverpool for their impressive start to the season, reconsidering his doubts about their Premier League title chances. Initially sceptical of their potential for silverware, Sheringham has been convinced by Liverpool’s flawless form under new manager Arne Slot. The team’s attacking strength, combined with a solid defensive, has earned them three consecutive wins and clean sheets, exciting fans and grabbing the attention of football pundits alike.

Despite initial doubts, Sheringham is now confident that Liverpool can compete for the title and has praised Arne Slot for his immediate impact at Liverpool (h/t The Mirror). The former Manchester United striker has been impressed by how Slot has stepped into the role after Jurgen Klopp’s nine-year tenure, which was not expected by anyone. While everybody expected Liverpool to have a rocky start, Slot and the team proved them otherwise.

Sheringham is particularly impressed with how Slot has taken over from such an iconic figure as Klopp. The German manager brought immense success to Liverpool, including a Premier League title and the Champions League. However, he believes Liverpool fans will be overjoyed with Slot as the club’s choice for successor, especially given how the new manager has honoured Klopp’s legacy.

He mentioned Jurgen Klopp in a really clever way; he acknowledged that the fans loved Klopp, he said he loves him too, and he assured the supporters he wouldn’t be changing a lot. I bet they couldn’t believe their luck, when he said that. You know, he just dropped that line in beautifully, for me. I thought it was just fantastic, he’s handled the whole situation brilliantly
