Liverpool returning from the conquer at San Siro will be straight into action. They host Bournemouth on Saturday which will be their fifth game in the Premier League. After losing points to Nottingham through a late winner at Anfield, Arne Slot and his men will look to bounce back.
Liverpool who have three wins and a loss in their first four games have looked comfortable from what we’ve seen. The pundits have acknowledged what Slot is doing, while some backing them to be contenders as well. While there aren’t many injury problems in the camp right now, a little hurdle in terms of injury news has come to light.
Alisson Becker is doubted to train with Liverpool today
Alisson Becker who has had his share of problems with injury seems to be surrounded again. In the post-game interview, Arne Slot announced that the Brazilian Goalkeeper who is currently on a £150,000 per week contract is in doubt about attending training today because of a torn muscle. Talking to the media he said:
“Alisson is still a doubt if he can train today, so let’s wait [to see] if he can train.”
“Then, if he can’t then he will probably not play as well, so we have to wait and see.”
When asked what kind of problem Alisson was having, Slot continued, saying:
“He has a slight issue with one of his muscles and we wonder if this game tomorrow is coming too early or not.
“I think he did not take it from the Milan game, it happened a bit before, but after the Milan game, he felt more and more.
“Now we have to wait to see if he is ready to be in goal tomorrow, or we have to wait a few more extra days.”
Although the problem doesn’t appear to be major, this will be a shuffle in the goal for Liverpool against Bournemouth. With their first-choice goalkeeper out, claim Kelleher will be asked to step up and fill in Becker’s boot again.

Kelleher, who hasn’t played in any of the games as of now this season can see action this weekend. Although he has made clear statements about wanting to leave, the Irishman still serves Slot till January. The youth academy player will be keen to prove a point if handed the cap against Bournemouth on Saturday.
Liverpool are currently three points behind Manchester City after the slip against Forest. Coming in with confidence from Milan, Merseyside boys will look to get back on winning terms. Slot and his men would not be taking this contest for granted as Bournemouth given the record of recent fixtures.
