Liverpool are back on winning ways in the Premier League after an inspirational comeback against Milan. As they hosted Bournemouth on Saturday, the Reds came out on top in what was a comfortable 3-0 victory. Merseyside Boys looked dominating with a few changes in the lineup made by Slot. While he changed things up front he also talked about the system being stated.
Arne Slot believes with the quality he has winning games isn’t so difficult
Brentford’s visit to Anfield turned out to be just the game Liverpool needed to reinstall winning ways. Not only did the home side keep 59% of the possession, but they also registered 13 shots on target. Talking to the LFC media in his post-game interview, Slot expressed what he thinks of the team development saying:
“Winning games is not so difficult if you have so much quality, but if you want to win more than only a few games it’s also about mentality. “
“After the United game, which was a big win, or a statement win I think you call it here in England, then to see us coming back against Nottingham Forest like that, that was not what you expect from a team that wants to compete for something.”
Slot is starting to believe he has an idea of where he wants to take things from here on. He has made it clear about proving yourself in the training, to get your opportunities. While he talks about a winning mentality, bouncing back after setbacks in quick succession is also going to be key.

After winning four out of five games it is worth mentioning they have kept four clean sheets. With only one goal conceded, Slot’s defence looks more than stellar.
While there have been players talking about the reinstated order in the defence, we are starting to see that the Dutchman means business. The Reds have their week packed as September is nearing to end. They will face West Ham United in the third round of the EFL Cup and then the Wolves before hosting Milan in the Champions League on October 2.
