Bernardo Silva has got fans talking as he gave Liverpool an unusual piece of praise while taking aim at Arsenal, following their 2-2 draw against Man City.

Liverpool supporters may not be fond of Bernardo Silva, but many agree with his recent remarks highlighting the contrasting mentalities between the Reds and Arsenal.

The difference between the title contenders and pretenders is that Liverpool always came to face Manchester City head-on, determined to win. In that sense, games against Arsenal haven’t matched the intensity of those against Liverpool, and that Arsenal still don’t.

The Portuguese thinks its more difficult to face the Reds

Bernardo Silva, a key player for Manchester City over the past five years and earning £300,000 per week, makes his thoughts clear.

“Maybe that Liverpool have already won the Premier League, Arsenal haven’t. That Liverpool have won the Champions League, Arsenal haven’t.

“Liverpool always faced us face-to-face, to try to win the games, so from this perspective the games against Arsenal haven’t been like the ones we had and have against Liverpool. So yes, maybe a different rivalry.”

Silva played the full 90 minutes at the Etihad and, after the match, launched a full-blown attack on his rivals. He criticized Arsenal’s defensive approach, comparing them unfavorably to Liverpool, City’s former title challengers. Frustrated by Arsenal’s tactics, Silva argued that only one team came to play, while also calling out referee Michael Oliver for letting Arsenal unsettle City.

Silva expressed frustration with the referee for allowing time-wasting, highlighting how the FA’s promises to address such issues at the start of each season ultimately go unfulfilled.

Kai Havertz and Jurrien Timber failed to complete a single pass against Man City despite playing over 89 minutes each. BBC Sport reported they’re the first players to play 89 or more minutes of a Premier League match and not successfully pass to a teammate since records began!

Well, at least, at Liverpool, we play to win. We can be proud of the fact that the team never plays thinking, ‘we must not lose’. YNWA!
