Arne Slot has made the near-to-best start he could’ve in the Premier League with Liverpool. With just one defeat in his first five Premier League games, Slot has made it look easy to top it all off. Things have looked bright for the Merseyside from the reinstated defence to the commanding midfield. However, Slot wouldn’t take this for granted as he realises the standard of English top-flight.
Arne Slot is bracing himself for the Premier League standards
It is safe to say Arne Slot has filled Jurgen Klopp’s boots to the highest standards as of now. With only a goal conceded and four clean sheets, pundits have already termed them as contenders. While speaking Slot described what he will do in the Premier League after five weeks. According to the Mirror, the Dutchman said:
“So with the Premier League with every team able to buy players for a lot of money, every team has a lot of quality and you can never feel that the game is yours.”
While this explains how every game is a test for Slot’s men, they will also be keeping a check on their rivals Manchester City. Expressing the difference and the chase he also added:
“I don’t mind if they underestimate or overestimate us,” he said. “Manchester City, I think, have taken 30 or more points from us in the last two seasons. So that is the situation as it is and we’re trying to close that gap.”
The positive intent is clear while the rise in standards is being chased. The levels in the league are only going to improve with the season and the only way to glory is to keep improvising.

Liverpool will face Wolves on Saturday which can be their fifth victory in the league. With Arsenal and Manchester City’s given standards, conquests are to be achieved week in and week out. Liverpool have won 14 of their last 15 league encounters with Wolves – a run that goes back to January 2011. They will look to stretch their streak as they visit Wolverhampton.
Since the arrival of Slot, the Reds have certainly looked like a different side. Keeping the killer’s intent while having a humble approach will be key. Building on the momentum and making the most out of the opportunities presented combine to title-winning teams. And Slot and his men sure look on their way to be one.
