Liverpool star winger Mohamed Salah has been linked with a move away from Liverpool as his contract at Anfield Stadium runs it’s due.
The Egyptian international has been subject to massive speculations about a move away from the Merseyside Reds after the former Chelsea forward admitted that the chiefs at Liverpool haven’t spoken to the player about a new deal at the club.
Liverpool terrified of Salah leaving on free transfer
Now, the latest reports from Football Insider suggest that the chiefs at AXA Training Centre are frightened about the probable backlash that the club would receive from the Kop if the player were to leave Liverpool on a free transfer to Saudi Arabia in 2025.
This comes from a former number two to Sir Alex Ferguson, Mick Brown, who speaking exclusively to Football Insider insists that Liverpool are ‘desperate’ to keep hold of Salah owing to his iconic status at the club.
The aforementioned report comes as a follow-up to what Brown acknowledged earlier, claiming that the Reds are prepared to break the bank to keep hold of the highly regarded wide forward.

Salah has less than twelve months on his current contract at Liverpool, and once we go into January, the Egyptian would be free to negotiate with foreign clubs for a pre-contract agreement that could pave the way for a possible move away from Anfield on a free transfer.
The 32-year-old has been, if not the best, one of the best wingers in the continent since he moved to Liverpool, and it would be a big heartbreak for the fans supporting the Reds around the globe if he were to prematurely bid adieu to the club.
