Liverpool midfielder linked with Fulham transfer

Liverpool midfielder Endo has been impressive for the Reds despite limited opportunities coming his way. The Japanese international has shown highly technical attributes since he moved to Anfield last summer.

Jurgen Klopp turned to Endo as he looked to replace the mainstay departures of Jordan Henderson and Fabinho, and the 31-year-old looked like a stop-gap arrival till the club can identify and pursue marquee midfielders. The Reds did try to pursue the likes of Zubimendi in the recently concluded summer transfer window, albeit without any conclusive evidence.

And they are backed to do the same when the winter window comes around.

While Liverpool look for a marquee player in the heart of the park, Wataru Endo’s future at the club looks uncertain, and Premier League side Fulham are looking to take advantage of the situation to land the Japanese international.

While Endo, at the moment, is the only defensive midfielder in Arne Slot’s squad, the head coach hasn’t looked his way yet, and that has fortified rumours about a probable departure. The former Feyenoord manager has rather preferred playing his countryman, Ryan Gravenberch, in the position, which gives more indication about the 31-year-old’s future at Liverpool.

Endo could leave Liverpool as Fulham express interest

Liverpool hold a significant financial edge over Real Sociedad in the race for Martin Zubimendi.
Liverpool could sell Endo for €15-20m

Fulham are ready to push for the midfielder as Marco Silva’s team are ready to battle out for his signatures with other interested suitors as the likes of Ipswich Town and Wolves keep a keen eye on the proceedings, per CaughtOffSide

The Cottagers did sign Sander Berge in the recently concluded summer transfer window; however, his arrival hasn’t been as successful in terms of replacing now Bayern Munich midfielder Palhinha, and they are now looking at Endo to provide the defensive stability from the middle of the park.

The report states that Liverpool will be ready to sanction a transfer worth €15-20 million for the Japan international midfielder.
