There has been a trend of signing highly skilled young players who have the potential to make it big, and Liverpool are looking to board up the ship to the trend as they look at possibilities to bring Vitor Reis to Anfield Stadium.
The Palmeiras starlet has been on the receiving end of ample transfer interest from multiple European heavyweights over a possible transfer with Liverpool among the interested parties. And the Reds are said to be doing their due diligence on the 18-year-old, per Football Insider, and if everything goes well, an official approach might be around the corner.
Palmeiras have made a name for themselves in nurturing the young talents, and that goodwill has paid through as elite European clubs have expressed interest in their talents over the years, and Vitor Reis is set to follow suit as the likes of Liverpool, Arsenal, Real Madrid, and Barcelona have expressed interest in landing the teenager, and among them, the Gunners and Los Blancos have been two sides credited with having made soft approaches for the teenager.
Liverpool exploring move for Brazilian teenager Vitor Reis
The player has a mammoth £84 million release clause on his current deal, and none of the aforementioned sides are going to pay such fees for the 18-year-old; however, it is to be seen how much Palmeiras are willing to sit down and negotiate given the growing interest in their academy graduate. The Brazilian is a centre-back by transfer and has been very highly regarded.
For Liverpool, as stated, the club is doing their due diligence on the player, which could be a good sign of things to come as an approach could have the Brazilian side sit on the table and the Reds could know more about the pricing expectations of the transaction as Arne Slot looks to have his stamp on the club.
