Following a dry summer transfer window, Liverpool have started laying their blueprint for the 2025 transfer intervals as Arne Slot looks to get a few new faces through the doors at L4. The Dutch head coach is using most of Jurgen Klopp’s squad, and he would want to garnish some of his own players into the team to overshadow his philosophies and style of play. In order to do so, the Reds have already started laying the groundwork with a move for Egyptian international Omar Marmoush on the cards.
The Merseyside-based club is looking to make an opening offer of €60 million to test Eintracht Frankfurt’s resolve on keeping hold of the 25-year-old, per Fichajes, who reports that the club is looking to bring the versatile forward to Anfield ‘as soon as possible.’
The Egypt international has been enjoying a purple patch in the German top tier, and Frankfurt might not want to sell him in the winter transfer window owing to their strong position in the Bundesliga, where they are just one point adrift of Bayern Munich at the table top.
Premier League trio vie for Egyptian forward Omar Marmoush
Arne Slot has preferred to play a mobile forward in the number nine role as Diogo Jota starts upfront at Anfield Stadium, ahead of Darwin Nunez. And the former Feyenoord manager will be looking to bring in a new centre-forward who can slot into his playing style, and this is where the Reds resolve to urgently land Omar Marmoush. The 25-year-old has netted nine goals in the first seven games of the season, including an impressive brace in Eintracht Frankfurt’s recent draw against Bayern Munich.
However, Liverpool are not alone. The Merseyside Reds’ Premier League rivals Arsenal have also expressed interest in landing the Egyptian, and Chelsea are also said to be among the races for the 25-year-old’s signatures. Slot and his team will have to push hard and push fast if they are to land Marmoush ahead of the aforementioned rivals to his services.
