Trent Alexander Arnold has been subject to ample of links surrounding his future as his contract with Liverpool comes into its final phase, and looking at the situation, Florentino Perez and Real Madrid are looking to take advantage of it.
According to a latest by Football Insider, Los Blancos manager Carlo Ancelotti has been the driving force behind pursuing a move for the 26-year-old fullback. The report states that the former AC Milan manager has been a fan of Trent since he was a manager at Everton and, in the wake of the situation, is pushing to capitalise on the opportunity to bring him to Santiago Bernabeu.
To aid Madrid’s cause, the Merseyside Reds have been trying to make progress in talks with the defender and his representatives; however, talks at the moment are going slow.
For Madrid, following Dani Carvajal’s injury, they are looking to get a new right-sided fullback who can slot into the position for a long time, and given Trent’s age, potential, and experience, he is looked at as an ideal candidate to be a Galactico signing.
Liverpool battling to keep Trent
TAA will be free to sign a pre-agreement with Real Madrid if the Merseyside Reds aren’t able to find common terms with the player before the January transfer window opens, and it would leave Liverpool in a position where they are at a risk losing one of their star players on a free transfer.
The chiefs at Anfield should be keen to take charge of the matter and try to resolve the situation before it’s too late.
