Liverpool face uncertainty as fans grow increasingly concerned over their talismanic winger Mohamed Salah, whose contract expires at the end of this season. Recent reports suggest that Liverpool are eyeing Salah’s Egypt teammate Omar Marmoush as a potential replacement. However, according to TBR Football, the Reds are set to face stiff competition in their pursuit of the creative striker.

Premier League giants Arsenal, Liverpool, and Manchester United are among the clubs closely monitoring Omar Marmoush, following his impressive start to the Bundesliga season with Eintracht Frankfurt. Marmoush, who netted a penalty against reigning champions Bayer Leverkusen, has now tallied nine goals in seven appearances during the 2024/25 campaign.

The Egyptian is a star in making

TBR Football reports that this form has caught the attention of several Premier League heavyweights, including Arsenal, Manchester United, Chelsea, and Newcastle. European powerhouses like Paris Saint-Germain, AC Milan, and Atletico Madrid are also keen, with Liverpool joining the race for the Egyptian forward.

Marmoush, with 10 goals and six assists across all competitions, is not expected to be seen as a direct replacement for Mohamed Salah at Liverpool. The former Wolfsburg star now thrives primarily as a center-forward, and when deployed on the wing, he favours cutting inside from the left onto his right foot.

Reports suggest that Eintracht Frankfurt would demand around £50 million for the Egyptian international should they decide to sell, The Egyptian is currently earning £26,769 per week. The 2022 Europa League champions have an impressive history of turning a profit on their attacking talents, making Marmoush another valuable asset for the German side.

TBR reports that Frankfurt has no intention of selling Omar Marmoush during the January window, and the player himself is in no hurry to leave. His focus remains on helping his current club secure a Champions League spot before considering a new challenge. However, a move to Liverpool could provide the Egyptian with the perfect platform to elevate his career, as his impressive performances continue to turn heads across Europe.
