Squawka reveals Liverpool legend Mohamed Salah is as good a playmaker as he is a goal-scorer with Bayer Leverkusen victory.  The Reds beat the Bundesliga’s Invincible champions 4-0 at Anfield in the Champions League bout to secure the top spot.

Liverpool are two points ahead of the rest of the clubs in the competition after winning their first four games. Salah has played a pivotal role for Liverpool, continuing his legendary tenure at the Merseyside club under a new boss.

The Egypt captain suffered with surprisingly long injury lay-off last season followed by a late dip in form, raising doubts. However, the 32-year-old proved his naysayers wrong and showed that his class is permanent and he has a lot left.

Salah is playing in the last season of his current contract which earns him £350,000 gross per week at Liverpool. Fans are constantly demanding a contract renewal as January edges closer, allowing Salah to negotiate pre-contract agreements with foreign clubs.

The Egypt captain has maintained his loyalty towards the club and effectively avoided off-field distractions to hurt his on-field duties. Salah has appeared in 16 matches for Liverpool in all competitions this season, contributing with nine goals and assists each.

According to Squawka Live, Salah took 49 touches with nine touches in the opposition box while creating five crucial chances. The 32-year-old made 16 final third passes, and five crosses and took three shots while securing two assists against Leverkusen.

These Squawka Live stats showcase how Salah helped Liverpool beat a strong Leverkusen side 4-0 with his impressive playmaking abilities. Liverpool have passed many tests in this congested fixture period so far and need to continue their fine form to win something tangible in the end.
