Liverpool are ready to battle AC Milan and Juventus for the signature of Real Madrid attacker Brahim Diaz. The Reds have displayed exceptional consistency this season, winning 15 of 17 matches across all competitions and scoring 39 goals.

Mohamed Salah, Cody Gakpo, and Luis Diaz have delivered consistent performances, showcasing their impressive goal-scoring prowess. Darwin Nunez has contributed crucial goals and delivered impactful all-round performances despite enjoying limited game time under Arne Slot.

However, Diogo Jota’s recurring injury issues continue to frustrate fans and create challenges for Liverpool’s attacking depth. Since joining from Wolves, the 27-year-old has missed 81 matches due to injuries, raising concerns over his long-term reliability.

Despite Jota’s clinical abilities, the latest setback compounds the pressure on the remaining attackers during a congested fixture schedule. Meanwhile, new signing Federico Chiesa is regaining his fitness through a special programme after missing this summer’s pre-season training.

According to Fichajes, the Reds are keen to secure Diaz’s services from Real amid interest from Milan and Juventus. The 25-year-old has struggled for game time this season due to the summer arrivals of Kylian Mbappe and Endrick.

The Morocco international has the versatility to play as an attacking midfielder and on either wing for his team. Standing at 1.70 metres, the 25-year-old enjoys close control of the ball with a low centre of gravity.

As a winger, Diaz uses unpredictability to cut inside and help in playmaking or stretch the defence by staying wide. The 25-year-old has impressive technique and passing ability but struggles to contribute consistently with goals for his team.

Nevertheless, Diaz has received praise for scoring critical goals in big games for Madrid and impacting the game as a substitute. Madrid’s squad already boasts attacking talents like Rodrygo, Vinicius Junior, Jude Bellingham, and Arda Güler along with Mbappe and Endrick.

Despite his quality and Madrid’s inconsistency this season, Carlo Ancelotti’s staff has unfairly overlooked Diaz while favouring high-profile players. For Liverpool, Diaz is no more than a squad signing which would make this potential transfer highly unlikely.
