“500 more”- Jurgen Klopp makes demand of Liverpool star after Anfield milestone
Curtis Jones reveals that Jurgen Klopp texted him a wholesome message about his 100th Premier League appearance for Liverpool. Jones marked his 100th appearance with a goal and a fantastic performance while paying tribute to his beloved former manager.
Arne Slot succeeded Klopp and improved upon the squad he inherited with his new tactical style of play and unique demands. The Dutch head coach and Klopp enjoy a similar philosophy, creating a smooth transition between the two genius football coaches.

Speaking to the reporter after the Leicester City victory (via Optus Sport/YouTube), Jones delivered an appreciative message. Jones revealed that Klopp sent a wholesome message to congrats him on his 100th Premier League game for Liverpool. He said:
“I normally text family and stuff and I saw a text from Klopp, he said ‘congrats on 100 games and here’s to 500 more’ or something like that. I was like what’s he on about, 100? I’m on more than that! But I just checked the Instagram and 100 games, yeah. Proud, really proud.”
Jones has played an instrumental role under Slot in the highly competitive midfield, developing into a regular first-team player. The 23-year-old has three goals and four assists from 21 appearances in all competitions for the Reds this season.
According to Fotmob, Jones enjoyed 92% passing accuracy with 39 total passes and 53 touches against the Foxes. The Englishman had 10 touches in the opposition box with two passes in the final third, creating one chance.
Furthermore, the 23-year-old completed three defensive actions, made one recovery and won one tackle while winning three duels. Jones has played both as part of the double-pivot and as an advanced midfielder in Liverpool’s midfield three.
