Micah Richards reveals ‘amazing’ Salah trait that gets him Liverpool goals

Liverpool are leading both the Premier League and the Champions League, with the team fully embracing Arne Slot’s tactics and performing excellently. However, one star, in particular, has stood out for his exceptional form. Mohamed Salah is once again making waves in the football world this year, and Micah Richards believes the Egyptian king is excelling at one thing better than anyone he’s ever seen.

Salah has now reached 30 goal contributions in the Premier League before the new year, yet his contract situation remains unresolved, leaving Liverpool fans anxiously awaiting updates.

Despite the uncertainty, former Man City defender Micah Richards is among the many fans who fully appreciate Salah’s talent. Discussing Salah’s qualities as a forward, Richards has highlighted one attribute that he believes the Egyptian does better than anyone else.

Micah Richard makes note of Salah’s football intelligence as the best in the prem

When discussing the living legend Mohamed Salah, people often focus on his dribbling, passing, and shooting, but his intelligence rarely gets the recognition it deserves. With 336 goal contributions for Liverpool, it’s clear his success is not just due to those specific attributes.

Looking at the stats alone this season, Mo Salah deserves to be in the conversation for the world’s best player. Scoring 20 goals and recording double figures in assists at this point in the season is remarkable. Micah Richards recently praised Salah’s performance on the Rest Is Football podcast, highlighting his exceptional ability to time runs behind defenders.

Richards pointed out that Salah could have scored multiple goals in his latest match, but what truly stands out is his movement. His ability to time his runs perfectly, staying just onside and always in line with the last defender, is something few in the Premier League have matched.

Richard highlighted Salah’s unspoken ability, speaking in the Rest Is Football podcast

“I couldn’t believe what I was seeing. Salah could have scored probably five goals today. You know, he had a few chances, didn’t he?,”

“He missed it a few, but I think it’s Salah’s intelligence as well. You know, we talk about his dribbling and his finishing and his work rate and his mindset, but his movement is one of the best I’ve ever seen in the Premier League. He times his run perfectly every single time.

“He’s just on the cusp of being offside, but he manages to stay in line with the last defender. It’s amazing to watch.”
