Betis are keen to bring in depth and dynamic players to their roster in the middle of the park, and the Reds midfielder has emerged as an intriguing prospect given his capabilities to turn the game on its heel.

Manuel Pellegrini is looking to add a new midfielder to his squad this month given the lack of options in the midfield with injuries to William Carvalho and Marc Roca. Initially they looked at the possibility of getting Dani Ceballos back to Betis, looking to take advantage of his situation at Real Madrid.

However, as a move for the former Arsenal maestro looked difficult, Betis pivoted to Roma’s Enzo Le Fee and Juventus’ Arthur Melo before landing up on Kikrby’s very own Stefan Bajcetic.

The fact that the 20-year-old is keen on making a switch to Betis would be music to Pellegrini’s ears, as they would be landing a player who can turn out to be a valuable presence from now to the end of the season.
