Bayern Munich throw their hat into the ring for Liverpool star

There is a lot of blur over Trent Alexander-Arnold and his future at L4, with the England international’s contract at Anfield Stadium set to expire this summer.

The 26-year-old academy graduate with the Reds has been a vital part of Liverpool for a while now, and his current situation has attracted interest from some of Europe’s biggest clubs, with Real Madrid leading the race to his signature. There have been reports claiming that Alexander-Arnold wants a move to the La Liga champions, with many outlets claiming he has already decided on joining Carlo Ancelotti’s side.

Bayern enter race for Trent as his stay at L4 looks dim

However, there is now another top club in the mix to secure his signature, and that could be bad news for the section of Kop that still hopes for keeping the Englishman at L4. German publication Kicker claims that Bayern Munich are now interested in signing Alexander-Arnold, after following him closely as he enters the last few months of his contract. 

Bayern appear very keen on signing Alexander-Arnold as they look to replace Joshua Kimmich in Kompany’s roster with the German’s contract at Allianz Arena also due at the end of the ongoing season. 

And while the Bundesliga giants know that Real Madrid are the front-runners to sign Alexander-Arnold, they will try to make a move if the English defender becomes available.

At the moment, looking at the current situation, it looks highly unlikely for Trent to continue at L4, and now with Bayern interested in his services, the possibility of retaining him becomes dimmer.
