Liverpool began the year on a challenging note, drawing against Manchester United and suffering a loss to Tottenham, marking their second defeat of the season. However, they have since regained their form with a commanding 4-0 victory over Accrington Stanley.

Chiesa, previously criticised as a “deadweight,” silenced his doubters by netting a stunning goal. According to recent reports, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia is linked to Liverpool. The Reds have long admired the Napoli winger and are now considering him as a possible transfer target.

Napoli are looking to tie down Khvicha Kvaratskhelia to a new contract amid Liverpool interest.

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia has grabbed major attention in the football world this week, with numerous clubs vying for his signature as the January transfer window approaches its conclusion. However, reports suggest that a move this winter remains unlikely. At Anfield, Arne Slot already has six forwards competing for spots in his three-man attack—Luis Diaz, Darwin Núñez, Mohamed Salah, Diogo Jota, Federico Chiesa, and Cody Gakpo. Paris Saint-Germain is said to have launched a “concrete attack” to acquire Kvaratskhelia, despite the fact that both Liverpool and Chelsea have been linked to the Napoli star.

PSG is leading the race to sign the Georgian

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia made headlines during Napoli’s Scudetto-winning season, playing a pivotal role alongside Victor Osimhen. The Georgian winger has contributed 59 goal involvements in 107 appearances for Napoli, showcasing his immense talent.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Paris Saint-Germain have launched a “concrete attack” to sign Kvaratskhelia, with Gianluca Di Marzio reporting that Napoli and PSG have “scheduled a meeting” next week to discuss the transfer. Reports suggest a verbal agreement has already been reached between Kvaratskhelia and PSG, who are prepared to offer €70-€75 million for the player. If negotiations stall, PSG may include Milan Škriniar on loan while covering his full wages.

Liverpool have also emerged as a potential suitor, with Liverpool correspondent Paul Gorst noting that while there is no immediate indication of a deal, the club’s interest signals increased activity behind the scenes. Although there is no suggestion that Kvaratskhelia is being lined up as a replacement for Mohamed Salah, whose future remains uncertain, the winger could be a long-term addition to Liverpool’s attacking options.
