Top journalist confirms Liverpool’s repeated Bundesliga scouting missions

Liverpool are having an excellent season yet, flourishing under Arne Slot’s guidance as the team shows incredible unity. With only two losses to their name, they are surpassing expectations and are in contention on all four fronts. As they maintain their strong performance, Liverpool are also focusing on the current transfer window. Reports indicate that the club has dispatched scouts to keep an eye on Borussia Dortmund’s young talent, Jamie Bynoe-Gittens.

England Under-21 international Jamie Bynoe-Gittens has reportedly piqued the interest of Liverpool. According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, the Reds have been keeping a close eye on Gittens’ progress this season, sending scouts on several occasions to watch his performances. Chelsea are also showing interest, but securing Gittens during the January transfer window is expected to be challenging. Liverpool appear to be exploring potential successors for Mohamed Salah should the Egyptian talisman decide to move on.

The U-21 star is following a path similar to that of Jude Bellingham and Jadon Sancho, making the move from England to Germany for their better youth development plans.

Jamie Bynoe-Gittens is on the verge of following a very similar path followed by Jude Bellingham and Jadon Sancho, leaving England to improve at the better academies and youth development plans. At just 16 years old, he made the move from Manchester City’s academy to Borussia Dortmund in 2020. The decision has clearly paid off as Gittens is making significant progress. Originally from Reading, the young talent has been linked with a return to England.

Gittens who is now 20 is enjoying an uprising season for Dortmund who currently resides in the 10th place in the Bundesliga standings. He has been a pivotal player for the Yellow-Black, contributing 11 goals and five assists in 26 appearances. A memorable moment from his campaign so far was scoring the crucial equaliser in a 1-1 draw against Bayern Munich.

In a recent update on his Youtube, Top journalist, Fabrizio Romano made note that Dortmund is keen on retaining Gittens, viewing him as a pivotal member of the squad. He adds both Chelsea and Liverpool are looking into the youngster’s situation. While Liverpool has been actively scouting him. Although a January transfer seems unlikely, both clubs could pursue him in the summer if the right circumstances arise.
