The Greece international would have likely featured more for Liverpool this season if it not were for an ankle injury that side lined him for several weeks. Interestingly, Kostas Tsimikas recently revealed that left-back wasn’t always his favourite position. The Liverpool defender shared that he initially loved playing a different role as a child before eventually transitioning to left-back. The shocking revelation will definitely leave fans surprised!

The Greek International revealed he loved playing as a Goalie

Tsimikas, who joined Liverpool from Olympiacos in 2020, has become a fan favourite at Anfield. Having played 105 games, he is often used as a rotation option for Andy Robertson. Interestingly, despite his contributions, Tsimikas is yet to score a goal for the Reds.

The Greek international revealed that he initially loved playing as a goalkeeper during his childhood. He recalled enjoying diving and saving shots while playing in the streets, even on hard surfaces. However, as he grew, he eventually transitioned to a different position, joking that his height might have been a factor. Tsimikas shared that, as a child, the focus was on enjoying the game with friends, playing for fun and creating happy memories.
