Gary Neville bemoans the lack of intent by Wolves as Liverpool go top .

Manchester United legend Gary Neville expects Liverpool to secure the Premier League title with an emphatic victory over Tottenham Hotspur. The Reds face the Spurs at Anfield, where a draw or a win would guarantee their 20th English league title.

Liverpool will achieve the historic feat in Arne Slot’s first season as the head coach after he succeeded Jurgen Klopp. The Reds signed only Federico Chiesa, as Slot opted to assess the team he inherited, while making slight tactical changes.

However, Liverpool surprised everyone with their brilliant start to the campaign, maintaining consistency and dominance in play against every team. The Reds stumbled a bit during the latter half of the season, costing them all the cup competitions this season.

Liverpool head coach Arne Slot and captain Virgil van Dijk have guided the club through an incredible season.
Liverpool head coach Arne Slot and captain Virgil van Dijk have guided the club through an incredible season.

Liverpool’s drop in momentum mimicked their issues that festered during the latter stages of last season, costing them major trophies. Nevertheless, Slot’s style and the team’s perseverance helped them maintain a winning run in the Premier League, securing close victories.

Speaking on the Stick to Football podcast (via YouTube), Neville predicted that Liverpool would beat Tottenham with a huge margin. The former Manchester United right-back has received criticism for his open bias against the Reds, making his prediction a surprise. He said:

“It will be barbaric, “I think it will be 4-1. Liverpool will score four. It will be one of those celebratory [afternoons].”

Neville’s predictions are not surprising, despite his bias throughout this season as Liverpool continued to prove him wrong. The United legend made a horrible prediction at the start of the season, putting Liverpool out of the top four.

However, the Sky Sports pundit was not the only one who predicted a collapse for the Reds under Slot. The real problem is the persistent undermining of Liverpool’s achievement, which only got more incessant with ridiculous theories.
