Predicted Liverpool lineup to face Wolves with Dominik Szoboszlai suspended
Liverpool take on Wolverhampton Wanderers on the 27th of December at Anfield.
Liverpool have struck decent form of late. They are unbeaten in their last 5 EPL games, after a torrid November had killed their hopes of defending the title. At 5th place and on 29 points from 17 games, the Reds are coming off a 2-1 win over 9-man Tottenham away from home. They will be looking to keep their 2-match winning streak going against arguably one of the worst sides ever in PL history – Wolves.
Wolves have just picked up 2 points so far, and last week, were beaten by Brentford, 2-0 at home. However, they had given league leaders Arsenal a massive scare when they equalized in the 90th minute at the Emirates, only to concede an own goal a couple of minutes later even as the Gunners won 2-1.
That said, here is how Liverpool could lineup against Wolves.
Predicted Liverpool lineup vs. Wolves
Goalkeeper: Alisson Becker

Alisson Becker is back to full fitness and has been starting for the Reds regularly, and there is no doubt about who will be between the sticks for Liverpool at Anfield.
Defence: Jeremie Frimpong, Ibrahima Konate, Virgil van Dijk, Milos Kerkez
Conor Bradley is a slight doubt for this fixture due to fitness concerns, and that could see new signing Jeremie Frimpong start. The center-back pairings are the usual suspects, with Milos Kerkez at left-back.
Midfield: Ryan Gravenberch, Alexis Mac Allister, Curtis Jones, Cody Gakpo, Florian Wirtz
Ryan Gravenberch and Alexis Mac Allister will start as usual. And with Dominik Szoboszlai suspended, an almost-fit Cody Gakpo could return, with Curtis Jones, who started against Spurs, set to feature in the XI as well. Florian Wirtz is expected to take up Mohamed Salah’s role since the Egyptian’s departure to AFCON.
Attack: Hugo Ekitike
Hugo Ekitike has been on fire for Liverpool this season. And with Alexander Isak having undergone a surgery for a broken leg, it makes the Frenchman’s place in the starting XI a no-brainer.
