James Milner scores for Liverpool against Arsenal

Liverpool face a tough test of their title credentials when they face Watford at Vicarage Road on Saturday. The Reds are yet to taste defeat in the Premier League this season but the Hornets did beat Tottenham early on in the season.

Jurgen Klopp might have to change things around as we face Paris Saint-Germain in a crucial Champions League tie a few days later.

Most of Liverpool’s international contingent came out unscathed during the two-week break, and here is our predicted line-up for the Reds.

Predicted Liverpool XI

Formation: 4-3-3

Manager: Jurgen Klopp

Alisson Becker (GK)

The Brazilian has to be in great form against a Watford side that has impressed this season.

Joe Gomez (RB)

Trent Alexander-Arnold might not be risked for this game as Gomez has had a better start to the season, and might have to deal with Roberto Pereyra.

Virgil van Dijk

Virgil van Dijk (CB)

The Dutch captain saved his team in the Nations League with an important goal, and he will be looking to keep Watford from scoring on Saturday.

Dejan Lovren (CB)

With Gomez shifting to the right side of the defence, we might see Lovren getting a start before our all-important clash against PSG.

Andy Robertson (LB)

The Scotland captain did well with the national side as they achieved promotion in the Nations League, and Robertson should start on Saturday.

Geoginio Wijnaldum & Memphis Depay

Georginio Wijnaldum (CM)

Wijnaldum has been one of the surprises this season for Liverpool, and after a great time with the Dutch side, he should be in line for another start for Liverpool.

James Milner (CM)

The Englishman should start for Liverpool given that he wasn’t involved during the international break  and will be 100% ready for the weekend’s game.

Jordan Henderson (CM)

Henderson coming back to the Reds is great news and we should see the captain start at Vicarage Road.

Sadio Mane (LW)

The Senegalese international was captured crying after the national side won 1-0 but Klopp should be able to extract the best out of the winger on Saturday.

Mohamed Salah Liverpool

Mohamed Salah (ST)

Salah scored for his country during the international break, and he must start for the away side in this encounter.

Xherdan Shaqiri (RW)

It was a tough call deciding who might play but Shaqiri has been in exceptional form over the past month for Liverpool and should start for the Reds.
