Liverpool are not interested in re-signing Philippe Coutinho from Barcelona, according to the Telegraph (h/t Metro).

The Brazilian left Liverpool for the Catalans last January in a deal worth £142million (h/t Metro), however, the attacker has failed to light up the Nou Camp and has struggled for starts in recent weeks.

Ousmane Dembele seems to be preferred in the attack alongside Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez, and Mundo Deportivo (h/t Metro) adds that Manchester United have been tracking Coutinho’s situation at Barcelona.

The report adds that Coutinho is unhappy with his current situation at Barcelona, however, Liverpool are not looking to bring the Brazilian back and instead are looking to find new talent. The Reds have done pretty well since Coutinho’s departure with a trip to the Champions League final last season.

We are the current leaders of the Premier League sitting four points ahead of Manchester City. The Reds have a tough draw in the Champions League knockout rounds against Bayern Munich but with Klopp managing the side, we have a great chance of defeating the Bavarian giants.

Liverpool have several options in the middle of the park at the moment but we could do with a creative midfielder. The former Liverpool star has the ability to unlock defences and could come in handy in some of the tighter games.

However, the team has one of the best defences in the world, and our attack is finding ways to defeat sides, so there isn’t need to change much from our current style.

It will be interesting to see how the story develops for the former Reds star as the season progresses.
