Latest Liverpool news: Kingsley Coman picks up an injury ahead of Champions League clash
Bayern Munich picked up another injury scare as Kingsley Coman limped off after the 3-2 win over Augsburg. The Frenchman was excellent in the win over the Bundesliga club, however, the Liverpool Echo reports that the 22-year-old went down the tunnel after picking up an issue in stoppage time.
Bayern played with 10 men until the end of the game, and Coman was the match-winner, scoring twice and providing an assist against Augsburg.
Good news and bad news for Bayern
There was some good news for Bayern in the game as Manuel Neuer started against Augsburg. The German had picked up a thumb problem, however, he looked to be in good shape ahead of the first leg at Anfield.
The Germans won’t have Arjen Robben for the game against Liverpool and Thomas Muller is suspended for both legs after picking up a red card in the previous Champions League game.
Liverpool will be without the services of Virgil van Dijk in the first leg. The defender picked up a yellow in the win over Napoli and is suspended for the tie. Dejan Lovren is a doubt for the clash, and it is to be seen how Liverpool field their defence on Tuesday.
