Liverpool FC transfer news: Kenny Dalglish urges Andy Robertson to ignore transfer talk
Liverpool legend Sir Kenny Dalglish has told Andy Robertson to ignore transfer rumours and remain at Anfield.
The Scotland captain has been incredible since his move from Hull a couple of years ago. Robertson dislodged Alberto Moreno from the first-team and was one of the key players in our Champions League trophy win last weekend.
The 25-year-old is one of the best left-backs in the world, and the Liverpool Echo reports that the Scot was linked with Barcelona.
The legend was speaking to the Sunday Post and claimed there was no reason for the Scot to leave Anfield (h/t Liverpool Echo):
“Andy Robertson must wake up every morning and think it’s Christmas Day. That’s why I don’t believe he’ll be considering leaving Liverpool for any other football club at home or abroad.
“I’m told he has been linked with a couple of big European clubs. But why would he want to leave Liverpool? Seriously, tell me why?
“Anyway, he is already playing abroad! Well, that was always the way I looked at it when I moved from Scotland to England to join Liverpool from Celtic.”
Dalglish happy with Champions League win
Robertson was excellent throughout the season, and our sixth Champions League title was something that Dalglish was happy about.
The former Red added that he was in Madrid watching the final and claimed that Robbo’s journey from playing at Queen’s Park to winning the Champions League was “unbelievable”.
The 25-year-old was in action at the weekend as he scored for Scotland in an important Euro 2020 qualifier win over Cyprus. Robertson still has his best years ahead of him and it doesn’t make sense for him or anyone else to leave Liverpool now.
We are growing as a team and Jurgen Klopp has worked wonders since arriving at the club.

The Reds will be aiming for more silverware next season and Robertson should have a huge role to play in the upcoming campaign.
