Latest Liverpool transfer news: Havertz responds to rumours of him leaving Leverkusen
Kai Havertz has responded to transfer rumours linking him with a move away from Bayern Leverkusen, according to the Express.

Havertz would expect regular starts at any club he may join, and he told the Bild (h/t Express) that a move cannot be ruled out in the future:
“I am honest, at some point the next step must come for me. But I’m not going to worry about when exactly that will happen.”
The German added that there are some big plans with Leverkusen this season, and wants to make the season a success:
“What counts now is Bayer Leverkusen. We still have a lot to do. Leverkusen very quickly signaled that they wanted to keep me.”
However, the attacker added that he did not know what the future holds and said that he hasn’t signed a deal with another club:
“What will happen afterwards has not yet been decided. There is no club where I have already signed.”
Havertz confident of his abilities
Bayern is possibly the biggest club in the history of the Bundesliga and
Havertz added that he didn’t know if a move outside Germany would suit him, but was confident of doing well at Bayern:
“I really don’t know yet whether FC Bayern is the next and right step for me.
“I also don’t know whether foreign countries would not be more suitable for me. I really don’t think too much about it at the moment.
“I have that self-confidence, yes [that I could play for Bayern]. But the same applies to other clubs as well.”
The 20-year-old would be a fantastic signing for Liverpool, but we are stacked with options for the three midfield roles.
