Andy Robertson misses training ahead of Napoli tie
The Liverpool Echo confirmed that Andy Robertson did not feature in our final training session ahead of the Champions League clash against Napoli.
The Reds face the Italians in their opening game of the group stage and will look to avenge the defeated handed out in the corresponding fixture last season.
Robertson was one of the stars in our win over Newcastle United and hopefully, the Scot is deemed fit for the clash on Tuesday.
Should Robbo not be ready, we could play James Milner as the left-back, while Joe Gomez also had some experience of playing in that position a few years ago.
The Liverpool Echo adds that Ki-Jana Hoever, Harvey Elliott and Sepp van den Berg were also a part of the training while Rhian Brewster was also pictured at Melwood.
Robertson not the only first-teamer out
Divock Origi had to be replaced in the 3-1 win over the Magpies on Saturday, and the report adds that the Belgian was missing from training.
Naby Keita was also absent from training but is expected to be back after the game against Napoli (h/t Liverpool Echo).
Liverpool need their stars to return quickly as we have some tough games in the coming weeks.
We play Chelsea, Manchester United, Leicester and Tottenham before the end of October, and also have several Champions League group games sandwiched in between.
