Liverpool youngster Jake Cain signs first professional contract with club
Liverpool announced that 18-year-old midfielder Jake Cain has signed his first professional contract with the club. The midfielder is a part of our U18 side and is also a member of the UEFA Youth League squad.
The youngster has been a part of the Reds since he was nine and even featured for the U18s under Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard a couple of years ago.
Cain was also a part of the team that won the FA Youth Cup last season after beating Manchester City on penalties.

The Reds have been on a bit of a spree signing young players, and we saw that with Harvey Elliott and Sepp van den Berg joining us in the summer. Ki-Jana Hoever, Rhian Brewster and Adam Lewis are other starlets who could feature for the first-team this season.
Jurgen Klopp has always handed opportunities to young players in the cup competitions, and it will be interesting to see how Cain progresses in the coming months.
The Reds have a lot of competition for places in the team but Joe Gomez and Trent Alexander-Arnold are examples of academy players breaking into the first-team.
