Real Madrid enter race for Liverpool-linked Erling Haaland
Real Madrid are the latest European giants linked with RB Salzburg forward Erling Haaland, according to AS (h/t Sky Sports).
The 19-year-old has taken the football world by storm and scored a hat-trick in his Champions League debut this season.
Haaland found the back of the net in Salzburg’s 4-3 loss at the hands of Liverpool. The Norwegian has scored 18 goals from 11 games in all competitions, and has multiple hat-tricks to his name this season.
The son of former Leeds United striker Alf-Inge Haaland, Erling was born in Leeds and started his career at Bryne before moving to Molde and then Salzburg.
The youngster has also attracted the attention of Manchester United and Juventus, amongst other clubs (h/t Sky Sports).
Big move on the cards for Haaland?
The 19-year-old still has a lot to learn but is one of the brightest talents already. It will be interesting to see how he progresses this season with the Austrian side but the signs look good.
Salzburg are leading their league and are placed well in the Champions League too. Haaland could play a huge role as they try to land silverware this season, and a move at the end of the campaign cannot be ruled out.
